No it’s not, it with a customer at at a prescribed address.

If I move house I don’t take all my electric, gas & water contracts with me.

I have to close all the accounts at that address and then open up new ones at the new address. Same with telco/broadband.

The only exception I can think of is Sky, where you take your box & viewing card with you and just change address.

So if you have your milk delivered by a milkman in Bristol, and there’s a clause in your agreement that if you break the contract you owe the milk man a termination fee, and you then move to Sheffield, would you still expect the milkman to deliver to you, or would you pay the termination fee?

It's a different scenario as VM are present in much of the UK.

Most non serviced areas are either because VM chose not to cable them or because they chose to sell off their ADSL service (to Talk Talk IIRC).

You obviously have no idea how much it costs to dig/lay cable, especially in rural areas - VM are a business, not a charity.

No it isn’t and no they’re not.

If it states quite clearly that it is for areas they cover only, then that is it.

Yes, as far as I am aware there is no obligation for VM to cable everywhere

The adsl service ( and not using the BT FTTC network) was sold because it was not what VM is. It was also just slow broadband and not TV.

It’s a non-argument.
