Web page is slowing down Firefox

I get a repeated message (in yellow) that a web page is slowing down my browser and do I want to stop it or wait? No matter how many times I click stop it, the message keeps coming back. It also makes the browser page freeze. HELP! :erm:

PS I have tried clearing the cashe etc.,

Close all tabs. Close the browser. Clear the cache. Reopen the browser and open the tabs you want one-by-one to find out which is causing the problem.

Some websites link to external sites that could be busy... or broken.

Firefox is known to use a lot of system resources.

For example i have just the one tab open being this website and its using 606mb of ram.

Steer clear of Chrome then... it is a RAM hunter..

Can you increase your RAM chips depending on what equipment you have.

You can certainly increase RAM if your hardware supports it.

You can run this scanner to check what is avaiable.
