Brotherhood of the Wolf (HD DVD)

Excellent French historical-drama-horror-action movie.

Plus it has Monica Belucci & Émilie Dequenne :D

9/10

DéjàVu (DVD)

Hmm.

SF crime thriller from Tony Scott (Enemy of the State, Crimson Tide, Top Gun, etc.), starring Denzel Washington & Val Kilmer.

Pretty good, & quite watchable.

Nothing special though, & not something I'd be bothered about watching again.

6/10

Deja Vu looked so good..and then? I heard nothing of it. It seemed to vanish completely and I didn't even know it was out, sadly.

The Fountain - wow 8/10
Very intreaguing, you just want to keep watching, definitely not one to leave your brain at the door for.
The space scenes (with a spherical spaceship) have a beautiful nebula not made with CGI :)

Blood and Chocolate - 2/10
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.
Can I sue for my wasted time?

Arthur and the invisibles - 7/10
Very enjoyable, sometimes felt badly edited though.

Music and lyrics - 7/10
A good romantic film, Hugh Grant actually playing a decent guy this time.
Quite funny too, in a subtle way.

Just finished watching Butterfly effect. Absolutely brilliant. Heart touching. Definately qualifies for one of the best movies I've ever seen.

---------- Post added at 23:10 ---------- Previous post was at 21:28 ----------

Now watched Butterfly effect 2. Wasn't as good as the first, but still worth watching. 6.5/10

Shrek the Third (cinema)

Hmm. Quite funny in places, but not as good as the first two, & not anywhere near as "laugh out loud" funny as them.

7/10

It's the only movie I've watched more than three times over. It's Fight Club. An absolute masterpiece in my mind, I just can't get over how good it is!

"Disaster". Aptly-named film. It is a disaster. So much so that I stopped watching it, and am considering asking Virgin Media for my money back.

Transformers 2007.
The robots have their own character and are humourous too.
Good robotic fisticuffs and the effects are superb. Sadly, an autobot kicks the bucket *sniffle*

I enjoyed it, but the kids seem disinterested :erm:

9 out of 10

I read somewhere that it's something you really have to engage your brain in and so it's not suitable for the kids..? I haven't watched it though, so I can't comment.

Just finished watching 28 weeks later. It was a great film, but it's hard to actually relax considering the contrast in the volume of the dialog, for example one second somebody's whispering, the next a hoard of Zombies (which is obviously central to the storyline) are screaming their arses off..but I guess that's what it's all about :P

Didn't realise it was this late either. Think I'd best be heading off to get some rest..
