Mysterious Call Divert has infested my Phone
 

A week ago all worked perfect with my house phone and answering machine.
Suddenly it has been infected by an external system which blocks my answering machine with a "call divert".

Making a call with my mobile, a message now comes up saying "Note - incoming call diverts.
If I pick up the phone while it is ringing, I can talk normally to the caller. But once the ringing tone has stopped the caller is told they cannot leave a message and to ring off.

I can make calls still with no problem.

Has anybody got an explanation why this problem has suddenly occurred and knows how to fix it ?

I think there’s a combination of keys you dial on your phone to set up or cancel a call divert. You might try googling and experimenting. Failing that it sounds like a call to CS.

Thanks - I have tried every code I can find linked with this matter and the answer is always that they are unauthorised codes.
