Billing scam alert
 

Recieved an email "your virgin media bill is ready" which looked quite convincing, it read:

"You currently have 1 promotional discount saving £15.00 a month
You'Re Receiving A œ15 Discount. If You Change Your Package You May Lose This Discount Which Will End on 16-MAR-21
Your latest Virgin Media bill is now ready and waiting for you online."

It looked legit until I read the following paragraph:

"Your charges this month include £29.99 for your package. Set up your most recent payment details we detected an issue on the details you provided, please use the 'My Virgin Media' button above and sign in to My Virgin Media.

It then went on to state an incorrect account no. and incorrect area reference.
