Man injures 6 in Glasgow hotel then shot dead by police

I’m no expert, but this bloke doesn’t look like he’s from a regular Glasgow division armed response vehicle.

Looks like they’ve worried this was a terrorist incident and called the cavalry.

Unconfirmed report from SKY News trouble at hotel housing asylum seekers.

Bbc saying asylum seekers of different nationalities approx 100 in residence.

It now seems the report of 3 dead includes the knife-wielding maniac, who has apparently killed 2 people and hurt another 6 before being shot dead by police.

Where are the reports of these 2 deaths coming from, this is not what is being said by the police just now?

BBC were reporting it at 5pm. They are now not.

Initial reports suggested three people had died in a stairwell of the hotel.

However, BBC home affairs correspondent Danny Shaw later said it was only confirmed that the suspected attacker had died.

I have not seen mentioned anywhere of these two deaths, indeed the police gave an update a little earlier, no mention of any fatalities. except the suspect.

Thread title amended to reflect current facts.

Definitely delighted with that change :tu: Thankfully as the news has become clearer, none of the victims of this incident have been killed. PC David Whyte, though: Glasgow hero. Get well soon.

It's about time the authorities started to take notice of the threat some of these people with mental health conditions posed to the public. They should not be walking the streets.
