See has been cancelled, Season 3 (August 26th) will be its last.

CW has cancelled the disaterous Tom Swift after just 5 episodes.

The Time Travelers Wife has been cancelled (which is a shame, I liked it).

Magnum PI has been saved (and renewed) by NBC, for both Seasons 5 & 6 (only 10 episodes each though).

Production Weekly shows For All Mankind renewed for Season 4.

looking at the figures for NBC Magnum would have better figures than all their Law and Orders. So a good score for them

That depends on when they show it.

Given its only just been renewed, and is only 10 episodes - its either going to be a summer show, or a mid-season (Jan+) show.

As everyone expected, The Flash has been cancelled.
Season 9 will be its final season, it will consist of 13 episodes.
Its due to finish in early 2023, meaning it will probably air on Wednesdays again, after Stargirl has finished.

Its also the last remaining official CW 'Arrowverse' show, so its ending basically sees the end of that shared universe.
Given the direction the CW is heading, its unlikely we will ever see any more such shows.

(Note: Superman & Lois was confirmed as not being part of the same universe in Season 2).

A shame, it was one of the few remaining CW shows I watch.

The demise of CW as a good source of shows was confirmed by its new owners, Nexstar.

In other news ...

Fate: The Winx Saga has been cancelled.

Neither The Winchesters or Walker: Independence are getting any additional episodes (past the 13 already ordered).

Given Nexstar's decimation of The CW, its quite possible these will get killed off as well.

Fate was good but S2 was not as good as S1 so not really surprised it has finished
Walker Independence I have been watching but it is really annoying me, seems a bit forced to match Walker to closely. Would have thought this was cheap, They have the set it is in the desert so it is just actors wages

Nexstar want to dramatically reduce the license fees per episode they pay to Studios Warner Bros and CBS

i can't see any of the remaning Warner Bros shows surviving somehow.

I quite liked Season 4, although it was quite hard to follow at times.

Not surprised by the cancellation though, I wasnt really expecting a 5th season.

Its viewing figures were really low (< 20% of season 1) and they basically killed off everything and everyone.

Very low hopes for this but I hope I am wrong.

I think Fawlty Towers didn't end when it should have, they really could have had a few more episodes, but this is far too long to leave it. Shows that come back rarely match their originals, the spark and heart behind them rarely come back. The best you can do is reinvent an IP but that's not what this is.

I never really found it funny TBH, and these days I expect it would be neutered so badly, to suit the woke brigade, it would be a complete waste of time.

Fawlty Towers wasn't really 'anti-work' though. Major was a racist but the joke was on him for that, The German thing was mocking Basil as well. The Irish builder stuff probably would have to go through.

It other words it was prejudice itself being mocked often times rather than the subjects of it being mocked. The problem was always with Fawlty himself.

Dexter New Blood has reportedly been renewed for Season 2, following the adventures of Dexter 'Junior'.

Showtime have also ordered Dexter Origins for a first season (obviously about his origins as a serial killer).

I liked season 1 of CSI:Vegas but they should have left it as a miniseries. I only watched for Grissom and Sarah, they left so pointless continuing, IMO.

The only one of those three I watch is NCIS: Hawaii.
