I know for definite that 2 of my 3 bets placed, cannot remember the 3rd horse though. If it is the winner, how random would that be to pick 3 of the Top 4?

Won £29 minus £26 stake, so £3 up. :)

Re: Grand National 2018

Put £10 on and won just under £16 so £6 up.:)

Re: Grand National 2018

Put £30 in total on 3 EW bets so my £78.75 return on the winner netted me a nice £48.75 profit.

Shameful that these poor horses die while entertaining Humans :

https://www.express.co.uk/sport/hors...uso-horse-dead

''Lilbitluso, a 10-year-old gelding, was euthanised after falling at the Canal Turn fence on day one of the festival.

Lilbitluso is the 44th horse to have passed away on race courses across the country this year. The Grand National course is often seen as one of the biggest killers because of its demanding terrain.

A total of 82 horses have died during the actual Grand National race. Since 2000, 11 have passed away during the event.''

Animals being pushed to the limit in order that humans get entertained ? Sorry it's not for me man.it's wrong on so many levels.

Yeah, you lost me as soon as PETA cropped up in that article. Joke of a company that has practices shadier than the Westboro Baptist Church. Other than that I don't really think I should form an opinion, if I gamble on it.

l love horses deeply as l have from a very young age and although its very sad when horses are lost in horse racing these horses absolutely love competing in the sport.

Re: Grand National 2018

What does anyone think would happen to these horses if they didn't race, they wouldn't be skipping through green fields together, likelihood is they wouldn't get born at all or would face a life of gruelling hard work followed by the glue factory or pie shop when they were knackered, this way they are treated like kings and then put out to stud, I know what I'd prefer.

Got 1st and 5th btw, got 1st 2nd 4th & 5th last year, if I'd backed Ruby Walsh last year I'd have retired as I had it as a forecast. Still £70 in profit isn't to be sniffed at this year. I think only three times since 1987 have I failed to win money on this race.
