Get Sky through Virgin wiring

I've got Virgin Media services at the moment, but am thinking of moving to Sky

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect the Sky service through the Virgin cabling that is in my house?
I was wondering if it is possible to connect the Sky dish into the VM distribution point that is in my house (I installed a VM cabling into the walls (in the plaster) and don't want to have any surface trunking.

many thanks

Surely some of your buddies on QI will be able to tell you hehehehe

Only issue is with Sky Q is you need two lines from the LNB to the box unless you install a dSCR LNB and set to single feed mode. Issue here is you can not record one channel and watch another

Virgin as you know has one coax and then can be split to other devices Sky can not be done that way you need some form of distribution kit to send it to other boxes around the house ie the same as they do it in flats

The simple answer is no, you can’t. The technical answer is as outlined by Jay. Virgin requires only one cable coming into the house that can then be split. A recordable satellite system generally requires multiple cables joining the dish to the box; workarounds for this are imperfect and may be expensive.
