Really should of tagged this "The what have you just eaten" thread!
Oh well.

Crusty french stick, melted brie, bacon and mushrooms.
Warm and finished off under the grill, lovely.

Never eat at real times, just whenever I fancy it!

I had a corned beef and mozarella sandwich with me jd & diet cola. There was some tomato in the sarnie but it didn't taste too good so it was removed. :D

I did that with the bacon, it didnt seem right, so stuffed in to Mr.Lucys baguette.

I am no longer a reggae reggae virgin :D I popped my cherry with some jerk sauce yesterday and today I had the fiery guava dipping sauce (could do with being a bit hotter IMO)
HP do a Jalapeño & Lime sauce which is rather nice and an even hotter Red hot chilli & honey which are both worth looking at if you like the spicier things in your culinary life ;)

Probably a more tomato based sauce and perhaps herbs/cheese on top????

Anyway just about to mix up a tin of tuna, some mixed freshly ground pepper, lime juice, olive oil and some fresh corriander and then smother it onto nice chunks of fresh french batons :) Should go nice with this chardonnay I have but that's a whole other thread :p:

We normally have a Full Sunday Lunch but for some reason "we" forget to get a joint of meat so we are having all the trimmings but with Cumberland Sausages from the freezer.

I shan't tell him it's a good substitute though, well not until he's done all the washing up as a penance. :D

Freshly baked garlic naan, lamb/corriander/chili kebabs, fresh salad, mint/cucumber yoghurt, paprika yoghurt, sweet mango sauce and topped off with chopped jalapeno's and pickled lombardi green chillies

Yummy indeed - if it tasted half as good as it sounds you must have had an excellent meal :tu:

My 'dinner' tonight was grilled lamb chops with a mustard/garlic crust, charlotte potatoes & loads of broad & runner beans picked fresh from the garden - followed by some gorgeous raspberries, also fresh from the garden :tu:

Dunno, I'm always munching. I dont know what I'm supposed to / not supposed to eat with my cholesterol / diabetes so I have no idea if it's doing me good or not.

Wish I could stop munchng tho.

My best diet ever was white wine and cigarettes............many moons ago when I was young and foolish:)

Everytime I felt the need for food, I would go outside with a cig and a cup of tea, and then on the evening, replaced it with a glass of white!
It didnt last long that form of food control, just as well really or I would be dead!

So foolish, but then I had a idiot husband then who was just into the blonde slim young thing being on the end of him arm;):)

I drink loads of water now, it tends to fill me up before I eat.

Food like alot of things we put near our mouths can be so addictive.

We won't be eating it for another hour or so but having been inspired by a tin of anchovies I saw in our store cupboard I have made a puttanesca sauce and the smell is driving me nuts. I find I have to keep having a small taste....just to make sure it's OK you understand... :erm: I hope there is enough left for supper.

Just been up the allotment so thought I'd pop into Co-op to grab a bite before I sat down for the football.. Saw in the cheap section a rustlers big breakfast with tommorows date on it knocked down from £2 to 30p...

Wish even for that price I hadn't of bothered now... The bun was soggy, the premium bacon consisted of half a rasher and the two sausages..well I've seen larger ones on cocktail sticks at parties!!!... The only nice thing was the tomato sauce..

Wed: Stir-Fried Sweet Ginger Chicken with Egg-Fried Rice
Thur: Filled Pasta in Mushroom Sauce
Fri: Takeaway Curry (naughty I know, but I'm on my own all week so what the hell)
Sat: Beer Battered Cod with Chunky Chips

Just tucking in to pan fried Tilapia fillets with a lemon/pepper/sage dusting, chips, garden peas & a tiger bun :)

Just finished Bubble and Squeak with a Gammon Steak.

Grated potato & cheese cakes with bacon.

Get some streaky bacon and chop/cut in to thin strips and fry until crispy then remove from pan, grate some potatoes and put them in the bacon fat until they start browning and the bacon back in the pan and mix in.

Put some grated cheese on the mix and let it melt in, turn over and repeat, when the cheese ant the bottom is done turn over and let that cheese cook.

When ready put in a Garlic pitta bread and enjoy.

Only use a small amout of oil to cook the potatoes, when you add the cheese it will melt and make the mixture look more fatty that it is, but who cares. :)

Full Monty Sunday lunch with ham and turkey, followed by large ice cream topped with honeycomb and espresso coffee.
