A new Daredevil series is in development at Disney+, with Covert Affairs creators Matt Corman and Chris Ord attached to write and executive produce, sources confirmed to Deadline.

Fans have been wanting a new Daredevil series since Netflix’s Daredevil was canceled in 2018 after three seasons. Talk has ramped up recently following the appearance of Daredevil (Charlie Cox) in Spider-Man: No Way Home and main antagonist Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) in Disney+ series Hawkeye. Also adding to the project’s momentum was the recent move of all Marvel Netflix series, including Daredevil, to Disney+.

It remains to be seen how this turns out.
I enjoyed the 1st season of the previous series, the 2nd & 3rd seasons, not so much.

Marvel Television’s output was of variable quality to be sure, but the stuff they made for Netflix was generally at the upper end of the scale. And now Marvel TV has been wound down and the main studios operation is responsible for straight-to-TV material, with properly-considered tie-in to the MCU, I should think it will only get better. They have confirmed both Kingpin and Matt Murdock, as played by Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox, as fully MCU canon, but crucially we are several years on from the end of the last Netflix series and also post-blip. Kingpin was last seen on Netflix being taken back to prison but now he’s out and as powerful as ever. There are some good stories to be told, and now they have the prospect of other MCU characters showing up in them.

I suppose it makes it much more likely Kingpin survived the events in Hawkeye.

In the comics, Kate Bishop and Kingpin have an ongoing adversarial relationship and the fight sequence in the season finale of Hawkeye already showed how hard Kingpin is to kill.

He is a major recurring villain in Marvel and the chances of him not making a comeback are close to zero.

I have never read any Marvel comics, but from reading many articles on them, it seems to me that they have been around so long that events in them often contradict themselves over time, and the TV shows rarely reflect them more than loosely.

That’s true, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a distinct story environment from the comics. However, right from the outset it has often been possible to spot which comic book stories the movies are borrowing from. Sure, they don’t follow them slavishly but the film-makers are constantly dropping hints and Easter eggs which those sufficiently in-the-know can spot (I don’t claim to be one of those people!)

Another Star Wars series has been announced by Disney+

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

The show, Taking place in the same timeline as The Mandalorian, will star Jude Law, and air in 2023.

Skeleton Crew is about 'a group of kids who are about ten years old who gets lost in the Star Wars universe'

It stars four kids but it’s not a kids show

Disney sure are milking the Star Wars Franchise just hope they maintain the quality. I know a lot thought TBOBF was a poorer effort but I was ok with most of it just hope they can maintain it

Given that they paid a cool $4 billion for the rights, they’re going to have to do more than just milk it. That cow will have to learn to sing and dance while juggling wheels of cheddar. And balancing on a high wire.
