Can you record and playback in UHD on virgin
 

Just asked the question on online chat and they said that you can record and playback in UHD. I think asked how many hours and they said 80 hours. That seems too many hours if SD you get 500 hrs, and HD you supposed to get 100 hrs. I was hoping to record bt sport in uhd

Yes, if you have a V6 or 360 box you can record from BT Sport Ultimate and also the Virgin Media Ultra HD channel.

Not sure, but then then some of the estimates of how much you can record on a V6 aren't valid anymore either as far as I'm aware - improvements in how the channels are carried have increased the hours available for recordings on that box.

Which is newer, v6 or 360? As I’m signing up as new, is 360 the only option? Which is that the better?

Virgin TV 360 is newer and the only option you'll get when taking out Virgin TV now.

Based on a quick check of three sports channels, I reckon roughly...

Sky Sports Cricket SD : 670 hours
BT Sport 1 HD : 250 hours
BT Sport Ultimate: 52 hours

Though it will vary depending on the content they are showing
