Hey! Broadband doorstep reps giving false information
Had a visit from a Hey! Broadband rep last night trying to sell (or should I say miss-sell) their new fibre services.
1) He gave me assurance that if I wanted to keep Virgin TV, that V360 & V6 boxes are proven to work with any Broadband provider. 2) All homes have to be upgraded to Fibre connections soon & Virgins connections will have to be replaced with connection to the Openreach poles in the street (which of course Hey! BB have their own equipment on). Needless to say I sent him packing. Pity I did not get his details, as I would have passed them on to Virgin & OFCOM. |
Re: Hey! Broadband doorstep reps giving false information
Similar to my thread the other day when I called Sky to discuss my package.
They were chatting absolute bowlucks. They are sales reps so will esentially say anything to get you to sign up. |
Re: Hey! Broadband doorstep reps giving false information
Never sign up on the doorstep to anything.

Re: Hey! Broadband doorstep reps giving false information
What Maggie said i made that error with digital home and it has been hell, ofcom have had to step in and force them to release me from my contract.
The big issue was their ip addresses they give you are registered with GTT fibre and every streaming site blocks those ips. |
Re: Hey! Broadband doorstep reps giving false information
Door to door salespeople are the worst they talk absolute garbage to get a sale. I used to love to hear the spiel from them like a BT sales person came off with that they can only provide fibre no one else can... really I have full fibre from Sky and a Virgin fibre and they are working just fine.
