Can I connect a PC to a wireless printer
Just setting up a new printer which like the old one has wifi and usb connectivity.
My main desktop PC does not have wifi so I have always used it with a usb cable and used the home network to print from other devices. Question, is the any way or a device that I can attach to my main PC that can send a wifi signal to the printer? Jim. |

So you don't have a router with Wifi? The reason i ask is my desktop pc doesn't have Wifi but the router obviously does, and i connect my printer to the wireless network on that. If you don't have a wireless router, then get one. |

Yes wifi router, just getting my head around it ATM, sorting things out like this is what keeps the rather old grey matter from atrophying completely.
Will update ASAP. Jim. |

:) just install the drivers for the printer on your desktop pc and then manually enter your wifi info at the printer to connect to your wireless network, atleast that is what i did. |

Didn't even have to do that, set it up via the wife's laptop using Canon's online setup utility and the desktop recognised it and worked perfectly.
Thanks for replying. Jim. |

Glad you got it sorted, it wasn't that difficult was it? :)
Still make sure you install the printing software on your desktop PC that came with the printer. |
