Nope. Terrestrial TV is HD only

Unless you've got a TV the size of a wall Ken, you wouldn't notice a difference. 625 lines (circa late 1960s)was the last major improvement in UK TV. Everything since then has been the Emperor's New Clothes, designed to get you to buy a new TV/service !

Bollocks.

If you don’t think HD or UHD has better picture quality (even on a 55" screen), you need to visit Specsavers.

Maybe slightly better, but not a world of difference. Guess it depends whether your TV is a daft size.

How about this, then?

It’s a bit cheaper... :D

In my experience the difference is night and day difference on a high end 49in TV setup properly.

Freeview from a sans serif typeface is not 4k ;)

Reading up, it appears that HD is capable of switching between 1080i and 1080p25 depending on the material, though the use of interlacing seems to be a poor compromise when the display device is inevitably not going to be line scanning.

What nonsense. HD was a massive improvement over SD.

Same goes for 4k even on a 49 inch telly. I have vision issues and even I can spot a massive difference.
