Girl Next Door, The (2004) genre..............: Comedy / Romance runtime............: 100 min iMDB rating.: 6.9/10 (2,346 votes) iMDB link...: http://imdb.com/title/tt0265208/ A straight-arrow high-school senior falls in love with the perfect 'girl-next-door', only to discover she is a former porn star. He comes to realize that if he wants this very special woman, he better be willing to risk it all and experience a journey for which he never could have prepared. It has the pretty Elisa Cuthbert (from 24) However as a film this thing sucks bigtime. It trys to emulate "Risky Business". The Hollywood notion of remaking & revisiting well known films once again fails :) The humour isn't intelligent but there are various naked ladies about - teen naff sex comedy 3/10 - but dont forget Elisa Cuthbert!! |

not my cup of tea - some funny moments and good dancing but thats about it - not a bad film just nothing special, one for the kids. 5/10 just for Jennifer Garner being a good actress and dancing to thriller .. for those really interested the SE is out in a few days :) |
Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
Just watched King Arthur, not a bad movie all in all. I was expecting a complete mess of a movie, just like First Knight, but was happly surprised. :)
Although there where some glaring inaccuracies (namely Arthur's father Uther Pendragon leading the 'Britons' at the Battle of Badden), still a good movie. I give it an 8/10. |
Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
there will be a more bloody version out on dvd i belive as they had to cut it a lot to get it a pg (?) or 12 rating so if u like gore grab that version :)

Paycheck - 5/10 I Robot - 7/10 (shame it's nothing like the book :() Spiderman 2 - 8/10 Equilibrium - 1/10 (because I don't believe a film can ever deserve a 0) |
Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
Saw Spiderman 2 at the weekend, I'd give it 8.1/2 out of 10 :tu:

Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
i have just finished watching "Cube". give it about a 6 out of 10, it is alright, bit low budget at times, but at the same time has some cool special effects...
one of those evil films that doesnt have a proper ending and makes you ponder things though :( |

...which I'll rate as an average 5/10 (not as good as the first one - but worth the £5 it cost me :)) |
Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
i haven't and i want to, to see how well they cope with the quantum idea... i hear it isnt as good as the first one though...
...also what ever happened to "cube zero"? i heard it went into pre-production but nothing since then... |
Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
I ROBOT
typical hyped up summer blockbuster which is amazing and better than the hype. 10/10 |
Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
i robot was fun and a good film in my opinion but as soon as i saw viki i turned round and said what i thought happens - and i was right, exactly right and that kinda spoilt it for me - to predictable.
