Was drinking an excellent cup of ASSAM tea, but as the sun's out and the temp is rising I think a nice cold cider is in order..

South African 'First Cape' Shiraz-Pinotage, tonight - not too bad - Fruity, touch of acidity to balance - and 14% ;)

mmm Pinotage. That First Cape stuff isn't bad at all. Got the remnants of a case of Kanonkop in the cupboard but I vow it's going to stay there for another couple of years

Stokkies and Pinotage... I guess it's robust enough to be a decent match. I'd prefer to break out a bottle of Windhoek for that though. £8.99 for 6 pack here though, ouch!

I'm just checking the RyanAir thread, now - you may need lots of 100ml clear plastic bottles, though ;)

Or you could perhaps use 330ml Fosters bottles and put back in what someone has already taken out ;)

I'd be very suspicious of anyone owning opened Foster's bottles or cans (or unopened ones even)

Re: The what are you drinking now thread

Aldi Australian Cabernet Sauvignon/ Shiraz, very fruity but only £13.99 for 3 litres

- last night was a reasonable Merlot in the pub next to my hotel in Haydock - but at £3.35 a 250ml glass it didn't really compare with the value for money of the Aldi box - which would be around £40 for the equivalent amount in the pub ....

Ah, to have a relative working as an accountant in Scotland, who doesn't care much for whisky yet has many clients who just love giving him bottles of the stuff as thanks. :D

I am currently drinking from the latest free bottle he has passed on to me, a very, very nice Macallan 'special oak' single malt. Yum, yum, yum.
