Gotham

Fox have ordered a new series, based on the early years of Commissioner Gordon's career in Batman. It's called "Gotham" and, amongst other things, shows have a young Jim Gordon met an even younger Bruce Wayne on the night his parents were shot..

The trailer is in the link above, and the series will premiere this Autumn in the US. No word of a UK premiere yet.

I won't get my hopes up for this one, it's on FOX. They'll do their usual and air the episodes out of order then cancel it half way through or at the end of season 1.

Two good choices there. Logue I think will be especially good.

Also saw John Doman (Rawls in The Wire) in the trailer.

Monday 18th 21:00 there's a 5 minute "Gotham: Exclusive Preview" show on Channel 5. They start showing it in October, US is 22nd Sep

There is absolutely no way I'd watch an American show on Channel 5, not given how it usually treats them.

If it isn't an instant hit for 5, I expect it to be dumped on 5USA or 5* before then vanishing completely.

And even if 5 does show it in a decent slot where it doesn't die, it'll be riddled with adverts.

The final season of Gotham kicks off at the start of 2019 (Jan 3rd).

Originally it was going to be just 10 episodes, but Fox has ordered 2 more.
