I am not everyone will miss him. For example, the Hitch was no fan of Billy Graham:

Re: RIP Billy Graham
I will also never miss him but we will all have to put up with his legacy.
Queue PB our own "born again christian" who can quote anything from the bible to suit any given situation. Even better if circumstances comes to need another contradicting quote to prove the point, there he/she is again with another. When will they show how much Billy Graham made on the back of the idiots? How many millions? Surely his supporters should be shouting Mammon!!! as it was all for the money? |

Re: RIP Billy Graham
Billy Graham didn't make money from the collections at crusades or whatever. He was paid a salary which I believe was comparable with a Baptist minister. The monies for collections funded the events and remaining was used locally to the event.
I was a counsellor at events in London in the early nineties. He was a remarkable man and had great integrity. I didn't find his speaking that engaging but God used him and millions became Christians through his ministry. BBC obituary which ends ""I've read the last page of the Bible," he once said. "It's all going to turn out all right."" |
Re: RIP Billy Graham
l am not that religious myself but there is no doubt that Billy Graham made a huge imprint wherever he went.
