159 Local Channel.

Why has the local news channel on 159 now started to show not only the region it covers but every other region it covers.

That would be a question for the channel.

However most of the local TV channels aren't making any money, and have already been allowed to change their broadcast rules several times to reduce the amount of local content they show.

Where do you live i.e. which local channel do you receive?

Most local TV stations are struggling. Several have obtained variations to their licences for merged services with neighbouring stations, so this doesn't surprise me in the least.

I don't know why these local channels bother any more. If they think they are even going to break even showing the minimum amount of local programming they can get away with and showing old black and white films from other channels the rest of the time, they are mistaken.

You will get better local information from watching the regional news on BBC or ITV.

Total waste of time and money. They will need to come up with much better programming than this to attract viewers.
