Viewing old TiVo box recordings from new V6 box
 

Hi all,

I haven't called retentions in a while to renegotiate my contract and I still have two old TiVo boxes with most of my recordings on one of the boxes.

Can anyone advise please if I upgrade the TiVo with no recordings on it to a v6 and keep the old box with recordings on as my second box, can I access the recordings from the old box I have kept on the new V6?

This would make my decision process on going for an upgrade a lot easier!

Box to box recording streaming is possible. For the older a TiVo you'd need to connect it to your home network via Ethernet or Powerline for that to work in addition to the coax connection.

The V6 also requires a home network connection in addition to the coax connection but that can be done via WiFi as well as wired options.
