Virgin Media to axe TV Box next month

"Andyland" is now reporting on DS Forum that the information slates are saying:

"URGENT ACTION REQUIRED" and the description reads: "This Virgin Media service will no longer be supported and will be closing on 30th November 2021."

So what is closing V Boxes or V+ Boxes.

I’d bet on TiVo apps being discontinued as opposed to STB changes.

I remember in 2017 telling me that my V+ box would be disabled so I am surprised that nearly five years on they are still being used in some parts of the country.

Not all of the V+ boxes could handle MPEG-4, so became useless when Virgin converted TV services to MPEG-4. Scientific Atlanta versions of the V+ were withdrawn a long time ago.
