1TB NVME Recommendations
I'm thinking of buying a 1TB Samsung EVO Plus PCI-E NVME.
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the cheapest place to get this or a drive thats similar in performance for less. Thanks. |
Re: 1TB NVME Recommendations
If you checkout the speed of the PlayStation 5s NVME which is sporting technology far faster than current PC drives, you may want to hold off.
Just use Google for the best price if you don't want to wait? |
Re: 1TB NVME Recommendations
What are differences between these 2 apart from just model number? lol

Re: 1TB NVME Recommendations
what is your reason for upgrading to PCI-e nvme?
what drive do you currently have? |
Re: 1TB NVME Recommendations
I currently have a 250GB Samsung 970 EVO PCI NVME.
Im in dire need of more space due to more application needs and i wont put apps/games on a standard drive as ive noticed they run much slower. |
Re: 1TB NVME Recommendations
Well that drive gets some pretty good results against others, although isn't the best for power consumption

Re: 1TB NVME Recommendations
I'd rather get another NVME as i don't wish to see any loss of performance.

Re: 1TB NVME Recommendations
Samsung has its own software for cloning to and from a Samsung drive, has anyone tried it?

PCI-Express gen4 can go twice as fast, in line with what the PS5's drive can do (to an extent - the PS5 also has onboard hardware for dedicated texture decompression but that's another story) and unless his machine is a really recent AMD machine, he'll be on gen 3. |
Re: 1TB NVME Recommendations
Can someone suggest a free cloning software for me that actually works so i can clone my windows drive please?

Re: 1TB NVME Recommendations
How are you going to do it within your hardware? Do you have a space to have both SSDs connected at the same time?
As they are both Samsung drives, what's wrong with using the Magician software? |
