Formula 1: 'Grid girls' will not be used at races this season.

Quote:

"While the practice of employing grid girls has been a staple of Formula 1 grands prix for decades, we feel this custom does not resonate with our brand values and clearly is at odds with modern day societal norms," Bratches added.

Political correctness gone mad.

Furious Formula 1 ‘grid girls’ who were fired from their jobs say they’ve ‘lost important income because feminists think they know best’

Vettel wins the Bahrain GP with Bottas taking 2nd and Hamilton 3rd.

A Ferrari mechanic was seriously injured in a pitstop incident when Raikkonen was released early by mistake causing his car to run over a mechanic causing an eye watering leg break!

Shin and tibia I believe are the broken bones. Apparently, Ferrari's second such unsafe release in the weekend.

Vettel with a 17 point lead over Hamilton after 2 races of 21.

DRIVERS TOP 5

1. Vettel - 50
2. Hamilton - 33
3. Bottas - 22
4. Alonso - 16
5. Raikkonen - 15

CONSTRUCTORS TOP 5

1. Ferrari - 65
2. Mercedes - 55
3. McLaren - 22
4. Red Bull - 20
5. Renault - 15

Nice to see McLaren making a decent showing in the points this season so far. Only team to not score a single point this season is Williams.

Double fracture and probably ligament damage maybe?

Probably never make a full recovery, also may see the rerun of the lollipop...

It is nice to see a few other teams so high up in the race points for a change too, Toro Rosso and Haas.

Yes, the Constructors table seems to be very open for a change. Drivers, well not much shock there as in Ferrari and Mercedes dominating 4 out of the Top 5 places. Only Alonso breaking the monopoly on the Top 4 places.

China next week, will it be 3 out of 3 for Vettel, or will Mercedes break him down, or will Raikkonen win? Or will there even be a shock winner?

Ferrari to retain £70m a year payment

Under the blueprint for the future of F1, it was revealed that Ferrari will carry on getting their annual £70m payment for being the sole team to contest every championship since it started in 1950. After 2021, it is thought that they will continue to get the annual payment, but the figure may be reduced.

Should Ferrari be allowed to pocket this bonus each year?

Well, a stormy race in Azer-whatever, when wheel to wheel racing between the Red Bulls became nose to tail racing.... Interview without coffee for the drivers after the race
