Will this fit my motherboard

I am normally OK with computers. But I always get confided with pci and pci-e cards.
My onboard lan has gone tits up. So thinking of getting this.

But unsure if it will fit my board.
It's a Asus p8z77-v lx if anyone can help please.

Many thanks

Should do, looks like you got 2 x PCI-e slots on that board. My onboard LAN went down a few weeks ago so bought a 2.5Gbit PCI-e card, works a treat.

It has 4 PCI-e slots might be worth putting it in the bottom x4 (full sized) to keep it out the way of other hardware and heat

As soon as I get a job I will get my nephew to help me build a gaming desktop PC.

He lost me when he said about a 1TB M.2 SSD.

It's basically a hard drive the size of a stick of chewing gum with no moving parts. A bit like a memory card for a mobile phone or camera.

Also the Nvme variant connects directly to the PCI-e bus enabling much much faster data transfer speeds
