Apple Music vs Amazon Music

Apple release Lossless across its catalogue of music and in answer Amazon add HD audio to Unlimited and removes its higher package

Good news for those who do not use Spotify. I personally use youtube music as I found a way to get for a couple of quid a month but this might tempt me back to Amazon Music

Those who already pay for Amazon Music HD you will get a refund on this months and it will drop to Unlimited price either £7.99 if you have Prime and £9.99 without iirc

Hardly anyone will be able to tell the difference to be honest. In fact Apple are outright saying it won't work on AirPods, Beats or other wireless headphones which makes sense since Bluetooth will cause a loss on its own.

The spatial audio is interesting though. See what music comes out with that.

Still at least it forced Amazon to drop the premium so that has to be a bonus

Apple is still the only one that works if you have a family all trying to play their own music at the same time on multiple Echo devices around a house. Apple Music allows 6 simultaneous streams but doesn’t care which Apple ID within the family group is doing it (or how many are being streamed from the same ID, as long as it doesn’t exceed 6). You can’t even use Amazon Music in this way - you can get 6 simultaneous streams on their family account but you can only have one of those accounts paired to Alexa, so only one music stream at a time.

Spotify will be adding lossless audio very soon as well. Such a bizarre feature if you ask me.

Don’t worry, I’m giving them more than enough for both of us :disturbd:
