Samsung galaxy S4 massively under selling Samsung in trouble.

It's seems Samsungs flag ship phone the S4 is going to miss sales targets by over 5 million units causing Samsung shares to lose value. Sales over 12 months will miss targets by 20 million.

$7.7 billion has been wiped from the company's value.

At the same time iphone 5 and 4s sales increase.

And the S4 isn't enough of an upgrade really to warrant its release

Exactly, it was released far to soon after the S3.

I 100% Agree, as a complete package including build quality, aesthetics, features the HTC One is THE best phone on sale right now IMO.

The Samsung "S" range has a cheap look and feel, it has been left behind by the HTC One and Apple phones have always had a quality feel.

Yep I agree with this to quite a large extent, my +year old HTC One X looks quite sophisticated and professional, whereas the S2/3/4 look downright plasticy at times!

The One X is made from the exact same material as the S3/4.

Polycarbonate.

You do realise polycarbonate is just plastic don't you?

Oversaturation, gimmicky software features, cheapo looking frame especially from what's meant to be the flagship model (though this may be addressed in time for the S5)

Samsung need to take a step back and see that despite all their size, other companies are hitting the mark now (Sony, HTC) to name but two.

Also the gear inside isn't that great, radios are crap, wi-fi etc, compared to other makes - lets say Motorola for example.

I know Polycarbonate is a form of plastic, but people calling the S3/4 cheap when other phones are made of the exact same material is daft.

Personally I prefer the feel and weight of the Samsung as making a phone from metal or glass makes it a lot heavier in most cases. I don't think the Samsungs look cheap or poorly made at all.

However now I am using the Xperia Z as didn't feel like going from the S3 to S4 was worth it and love the waterproof feature as its saved me a few times on drunken nights out already.

Although I don't really like the 100% glass or very boxy shape of the handset.

Totally agree with you. Its not a tacky looking plastic and due to the shine it can look like aluminium from the back. All that is beside the point though as I didn't get the phone to pose with, I got it to use it and due to the hardware specs.

After using the S3 I held an iPhone which felt as heavy as a brick in comparison.

It was obvious to most that it was too early to bring out the S4 and it brings nothing new to the table, which could be said about most other new phones too tbh. They got popular with the S2 and S3 because they were bringing new features galore along quickly, compare to Apple that has been drip feeding new features slowly over the years. Maybe that is part of why they released the S4 so soon but they don't quite have the same fanboy base as apple, where they will buy every new product to show off to their friends.
