It makes sense that they've done a deal with the BBC rather than a rival commercial channel.

Good spot.

This becomes the third company to use the brand name. First company (Boxing Channel Media) was wound up in 2019. Second company was Premier Sports GB which kept it nominally alive until ViaPlay acquired Premier Sports.

And now Umar Warren has spotted that the BoxNation YouTube channel has 61k subscribers so has picked up the brand licence from his uncle and is using it as an interview channel with boxers and their promoters.

Gleaming information from the internet has crossed a couple of wires there.

Umar Ahmed, who has previously done content on some of the boxing social media outfits, appears to have taken it on. Frank Warren is occasionally referred to as “Uncle Frank” in the boxing following social media community.

That should be blocked in my opinion, it is basically a monopoly on top flight motorsport.

MotoGP under Dorna was already a virtual monopoly anyway, with their particular emphasis on Spanish riders and tracks. As well as Dorna owning World Superbike.
