Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao II

What I first though was a poor joke has become reality. Mayweather vs Pacquiao.

Coincidentally as I pointed out Vegas boxing just died a horrible death. Mayweather is absolutely on top of the ship to collect the cool £200 million before it sinks with the rematch absolutely no body wants. This leaves Khan vs Brook wide open for a career ending match for the pair of them.

Floyd is declining. Pacquiao was done 6 years ago. Both have made no secrets in outing their money issues.

On the other end of that spectrum it surely seals Khan vs Brook. Another fight Eddie Hearn keeps selling that honestly isn't as big as he thinks it is. Brook is clearly on his way out and absolutely desperate to get paid off for it. The problem being is he burnt through any reputation he had whilst getting slammed by Golovkin and Spence.
Whether Khan is going to improve or not is also a factor. Hit by a flash knockdown and a genuine rocked moment in his last tune up bout. Brook's deterioration into a David Haye and Khans unpredictable fights make this a mess. Brook is capable of stopping him but can he make it out of the first two rounds with two eyes still intact at a weight he looks horrible at. If Khan wins then he'll go onto a title but he'll retire if he loses. Brook is done either way. I struggle to see Brook fighting at a world stage when he outright refuses to be anything other than the hometown fighter. That's what's got him stuck in this position.

I'd really have liked Khan vs Mayweather. Floyd's only interested in selling a rematch and I doubt he'd risk his 0 against Khan. Brook vs Mayweather is too much like Brook vs Spence. Brook has the power and skill set but his face wouldn't last the 12 rounds.

Can't see myself paying to watch Mayweather fight Pacquiao again at all.
