But with the riches about and Man City growing stronger and stronger I'm not even sure that would work anymore. Man City are well on their way to becoming the Real Madrid of the world. Their infrastructure and outreach is incredible, they're currently one of the global giants in world football but in 20 years time they could well be THE global giant of world football. By the time any English club reaches their current level they're gonna be another 10 ahead. The ridiculous amount of money thrown at them built foundations that no current English club can come near challenging.

I can't see a single challenge on City or Liverpool and that's depressing. :erm:

The thing is Man United espouse to the world that they are the richest club in the world but it needs more then money to buy success as you need people who make the right decisions at the right times plus the club needs a coherent well thought out long term transfer strategy and not one made on the back of a fag packet with Ed Woodward as its clueless conductor of those financial riches.

It's pointless being rich if the Glazers are skimming money off the top and paying out incredible sums to shareholders because they pulled off one of the most crude and ridiculous takeovers of a football club I've seen.

The question is how does one get rid of them as Many United fans have been unimpressed with them for a while but unless someone comes in a buys them out and has the clubs interest at heart then nothing will change.

How many managers have they had since Sir Alex? as its not the managers who are the problem as its the clubs current infrastructure that needs to change but alas with the money men in charge now that simply is not going to happen.

Modern Football, don't you just love it :D

How long before the super league breakaway then . . if there are enough teams left that can offer a challenge?

They have been talking about that for years and personally l can't see it happening as it would need a bunch of turkeys to volunteer themselves for Christmas.

But it needs a huge overall majority agreement and that is not going to happen Carth.

Majority of which clubs? Premiership only or all league clubs?

I'm sure there will be a few clubs glad to see the back of the 'big 6' in order to improve their own chances :D

Premier League instantly becomes less prestigious and pretty much worthless as do the other top leagues. They'll be full of teams that are mere stepping stones for players to join a super league team.

The Premier League created a problem it can't fix now. They don't care and neither do sky. So long as the revenue is there they can't see a problem.

The bubble may not have burst but it looks as though Sky think it is deflating a little.

Sky have more then enough premium sport as it is and see spending £1.2 billion as money that could be spent better elsewhere.

Well the financial bubble at your beloved United has certainly not burst with record revenues.
