VM home security system.
A little bird tells me that VM are to investigate the possibility of going into the home security system subscription market.
Possibilities being considered are buying the equipment in return for a lower monthly fee and having to pay for repairs/upgrades, renting it with no upfront cost with 'free' repairs/upgrades, using something like Nest for the doorbell component, or creating VM sourced/branded equipment. I suppose they see this as a way to further lock customers in. Can you imagine your alarm going off with this system and dialling out for help? It would end up in a queue for an hour and then end up at an offshore call centre with someone who can barely speak English :D:D:D There's no way that I'd ever entertain this idea with the current VM set up/track record. |
Re: VM home security system.
They are getting very active in bringing together all parts of the Virgin brand, with points, prizes and offers across the lot.
Nothing that attracts me though. I'd rather see prices drop. https://www.virgin.com/virgin-red/ |

Quite expensive for what it is. You could just buy the equipment for about the same price.
