Yes, but you think they would mark his files not to contact him about sports packages. I guess the CRM is not that nuanced.

I love how it says "at no extra cost" when they've already bumped the prices up!

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

I expect these will be red button services too. In addition to “streaming”.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

Considering what they plan to show each week, and they only have one extra channel, there will have to be red button selection for matches.

Thats still going to be fun the first week, when they plan to show every match live (so it says). Is there a limit on red button choices ?

Almost 20 ? Its over 30 years, they have been showing live premiership matches since it was formed in 1992. :)

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

I was accepting that streaming (2006 on some variant of an app) was substantively different from television as a whole for the purposes of entertaining OB.

However I agree, Sky have been, are and will continue to be the dominant player across all technologies.

4K being dropped by UEFA.

The promos for the Champions League Final only mention TNT Sports 1.

I know. I’m looking at the trend and judging that against comments made on Cable Forum previously.

You can’t be certain of that, jfman. I agree with you that Sky have been very successful so far, and their link with Comcast probably strengthens their position, but there is big competition out there.

Even the big “streamers” across the pond are desperate to bundle their products into cable without the cable. It’s a failed business model against the tried and tested offerings in the marketplace.

A deal like this being struck with the Premier League or the Champions League would be the biggest deal in football history and a change in the guard for football streaming.
That would be the Premier League that no streamer can offer a competitive bid on despite real terms reductions in the value of the rights.
