A bluray player is quite possibly the best option for just 'one extra box' alongside Tivo as I'm pretty sure you can get them with both Netflix and Amazon video. Many will allow you to change the DNS settings for use with Unblockus etc. They also have some catchup services (though those are covered by Tivo anyway). Some will also stream networked video via DLNA. And, of course, they will play any DVD/Bluray discs that you have.

The Amazon box is nice and small, but at full price, it is in the smart bluray price range which is capable of more.

Thank you, passingbat, that is very helpful. I intend to replace my existing DVD Player/Recorder soon, so perhaps this is an option worth considering.

Why not just get an XBMC box and be done with?

That looks a bit technical for me! I want to keep things simple so that even my wife can use it! Sorry, dear :erm:

It seems Now TV is now being advertised as the Starter Bundle including the Entertainment Pass bundled with Sky Broadband for £12.50 + line rental at £15.40.

I noticed that in a leaflet they posted out, personally i think it is a pretty good idea, you'll get people saying "well the pass is only £4.99 anyway" but i believe the pack Sky are offering includes their broadband so it balances itself out in a way.

9th post down seems to suggest that uk will be able to get WWE Network without the need of having Sky or vm etc.

I took up the free Netflix offer for 6 months many months ago but for some reason i am still getting it free.

i was one of the 1st to take it up but cant remember when the offer 1st started but i am sure it is well over 6 months ago.

so is this a fault at VM end?

the same thing happened with the free Spotify offer when that was on offer.

And you do know that it won't be included in your VM bill?
