Removing the splitter will prevent the ingress of noise.

The white box contains an isolator, which protects the VM network from power surges from your equipment, and vice versa. If you wanted to chase it into the wall you’d need quite a big hole, as you need to fit the iso in, and some cable without forcing the cable, it needs to Be within certain bend radius specs. The isolator and connectors would also both need to be easily accessible in case of faults.

Thanks vm_tech, pip08456 and weesteev for all of your advice. I'll remove the splitter as from you've said it's unnecessary. I have my fingers crossed that I can then get the isolated euro module from you weesteev which will then allow me to hide the vm plastic box containing the isolator. If not, would you be able to post a link to what I should be looking for please? Thanks again y'all.

The euro module won’t suit you, although I haven’t installed for years so weesteev will clarify. I believe they are for new build stuff where the backbox is installed into the wall, and all cables bought into the backbox, as on the current bit of cable you will have only a couple
Inches of slack, but again I could be wrong.

I'm reviving an old thread here Steve, so thanks for coming back to it. We're mid-renovation and are able to have a back box fitted into the wall, so I wondered whether you might be able to help me out with a Virgin euro module or to point me in the right direction as to what I should be looking for, so that we can hide the current set-up a bit. Thanks. John
