Virgin Media Text 07953 966 066

I am getting loads for calls from 07953 966 066, which I gather is Virgin Media Text. The messages say to call 07953 966 066 to stop getting these messages. Why should I have to pay to call this number to stop messages I never asked for? Is there a weblink that I can use to stop these messages?

Then this seems to point that its not from virgin but you have to phone virgin to pick up the message that has been left ????

07953-966-066 is the text delivery service operated by T-Mobile for those who do not have text enabled landline phones. Texts sent to landlines from O2,Vodafone,Orange and 3 mobiles are delivered by BT's service.

Got called 8 times with a blank message but reading here and once I knew it was T-Mobile I had an idea who it was.
Sure enough it's my idiot mate telling me his mobile keeps sending the messages. It's in his pocket and as he moves it dials.
Am I supposed to believe this ? Or is the **** just being his usual wind-up merchant self ?
I don't have a mobile and I'm beginning to detest them.
