Bizarre Netgear + Virgin Issue

Hi,

I have the Virgin Samsung 2100c box and a Netgear WPN824 V3 wireless router.

My bizarre issue is this

1, connect laptop to Virgin box - register and surf :)
2, connect netgear - picks up Virgin DNS, IP etc :)
3, Laptop connects to Netgear wirelessly, picks up IP etc :)
4, try to surf and get the NTL device registration page in a loop
5, launch IE again, again the device registration page, no way to progress past it

6, from laptop can ping, www.apple.com etc and telnet on port 80 :)

7,Netgear has nothing blocked, no firewall on laptop etc

Any ideas anyone, its driving me mad -

Time to get a stand alone modem.

If you phone and get a self install kit there's no charge.

I was equally frustrated by the Set Top Box looping into the registration screen. It had worked fine for years, then a few months ago, some days, despite whatever you did to reboot, delete registrations, re-register and such like, you couldn't get on. Upgrading to a separate modem proved to be the reliable solution. It will also let you have access to the faster broadband speeds as those packages get rolled out.
