Yeah, it is one of those American things i wish they would srandardise. Are they cinemas or movie theaters? I actually prefer the latter although we never call them that over here.

I wonder whether the new trilogy is the Weiss/Benioff trilogy or the dude who did TLJ.

“Moving picture theater” is prosaic but an accurate description of the thing, especially when you look at it from the point of view of someone seeing moving pictures for the first time, in a building that would have been a theatre most of the time.

We take our word from the French, because before Hollywood was a thing, the French were the pioneers of the art form.
