Black cab rapist John Worboys moves prison after his transfer caused fury

https://news.sky.com/story/black-cab...-fury-11236729

I am rather confused about the whole case on John Worboys. The convicted rapist.

It was decided by a Parole Board that he be released. As l understand it, the Parole Board is a body that is NOT influenced by political interference, or challenged in any way. A decision has been made.

And yet, as soon as they decide that he is free to leave prison on parole. All of a sudden we have all these new legal challenges, and more victims come forward.

Why didn't they come forward when he was on trial before.

He was convicted of a nasty crime, and should be punished.. But, to me its all strange that a parole decision is now challenged.

What do the members think, And they may come up with an answer.

Some victims may not have come foreward for several reasons.

the could have mentally blocked it.

Not heard about story when it broke.

There are 2 victims who reported to the police before his prosection but whose cases were not presented to the court.

We don't know if witholding their cases were due to lack of evidence or not.

The Government did avoid interfering when it became clear that they couldn't really do it.

It's a bit of a mystery into how on earth the parole board decided he could be let go but it's right the government shouldn't intervene however outrageous the decision.

It didn't have to become clear that they couldn't do it, they've known all along.

There are many cases where the govenment have disagreed with the parole board decision and haven't been able to overturn it.

Whatever if the 2 cases that weren't acted upon have any chances of success according to the CPS then release him and "Gate Arrest".

Gate arrests are frequently used for offenders who haven't requested other offences to be taken into consideration when sentenced. It also gives the police extra time to build the case. I know several people who have been "gate arrested" and everyone deserved it. They thought they'd got away with it.
