Not yet, but Sky and Virgin have agreed a deal to bring more Sky UHD content to Virgin's on demand system some time this year (possibly by August). Whether this includes shows from Sky Atlantic remains to be seen. Others on this forum will dismiss any prospect of SA content out of hand, but the truth is that no-one knows for sure one way or the other.

Some will claim to know, however...:D

it doesn't need to be uhd, do they have all the same hd vod content

There are differences, e.g Virgin seems to have more ITV series available, but fewer Channel 4 series. You may need to say which channels you are after.

Our Sky on demand content is not as extensive as on the Sky platform currently, but it was reported that more shows would be available when the new deal is implemented. Whether this will be as extensive as on Sky's platform remains to be seen.

At present, it's Sky One, Sky Witness, Sky Arts and Sky Cinema.

Not yet, but it should do when the deal Virgin has with Sky is implemented.

I am not very happy with the change on Virgin Media on demand which means we don’t get to see the pictures when fast forwarding and rewinding. Does anyone know the reason for this?

It coincided with the switch in the tech they use for On-Demand. I believe the old version basically started a dedicated broadcast stream on a multiplex, whereas the new method is all Internet Protocol.

I don't like the inability to see the picture when FFW or REW either.

It seems to me like a backward, rather than a forward step.

Agree.

My understanding is that the IP platform allows for a lot more local capacity at street level. And it certainly coincides with more content being available in HD.
