Upgrading from deals on my account
 

Just wondering, there is a deal on my account to upgrade BB to 350mb for £6.06 extra a month. but it says there is a £20 activation fee and when I click next it goes on about an installation pack sent to me or pick up to get things up and running.

Seen as I already have 200mb I don't understand why I can't just click upgrade and job done?

But I don't understand the £20 activation fee? or the fact I can't just upgrade online I have to either pay £5 postage to get a pack through or collect one for free at a collection point.

Might be better to just call them.

yeah, you need to call them and they can do it over the phone. The £20 activation fee is more for people like me because I had a shub2. They sent me a swanky looking box out by courier with a shub3 in and a Tivo with all the relevant booklets, blab and installation gumpf. It is understandable when there is a cost involved on their part but when they can whack a couple of keys on a keyboard to get the job done then it should be for free.

The OP was lucky! I have the same upgrade offer to 350Mb but for £14/month more plus £60 activation charge. I'm on VIVID 200 and have a SH3. I think I'll live with 200Mb

I'm guessing he is on a higher priced package, hence the cheap upgrade.

I've got XL tv, 200mb BB and weekend calls (tivo) 1 box

It's actually £10 a month more it's £6.06 for 6 months.

I best not tell you I went from VIP200 with 3 boxes to VIP350 with 2 boxes and saved £30 for 12 months then :)
Also they did not charge the £20 activation fee :)
