V6 sound issue
Just recently I've noticed that the sound breaks up slightly on some of my recordings on the V6 when played back. It doesn't happen on live TV, only on playback, and it happens exactly the same whether listening through the TV's speakers or the soundbar.
Some years ago, I had an issue with picture breakup on a Tivo when playing recordings, that turned out to be damaged sectors on the hard drive and the Tivo was replaced. Could this be the same problem? I dont have any issues with picture quality, or has anybody got another idea? Thanks... |
Re: V6 sound issue
Very occasionally mine loses sound completely; I have to reboot to clear it.

Re: V6 sound issue
I lose sound sometimes when I switch the box on from standby. I use the optical output. Simply changing channel brings the sound back

Re: V6 sound issue
Thanks, my issue is not so much a complete loss of sound, just a slight break up every now and then...

Re: V6 sound issue
Mine makes an intermittent crackling type sound, yesterday afternoon I switched off the TV, Soundbar and Tivo V6 and could still here crackling for a while. Although I am not sure where the noise is coming from.
Last night and this morning, no problems? |
Re: V6 sound issue
Got the leatest V6 update and Sky Sports cricket in 5.1 is super clean so far after 4hrs+.
No drop outs, or even sound dips, that i even got with my old VHD box. Might be a better Sky UHD source feed. |
Re: V6 sound issue
Hi guys, I was give a Hitachi sound bar for father's Day from my kids. I've very happy with the sound from it.
When I connect to the V6 box it works NP but when I play Netflix it just makes a bussing sound. If I connect the headphone socket it fine. Any advice. I also can't get the V6 remote to find the code for the sound bar. Thanks in advance |
Re: V6 sound issue
Try changing the Dolby setting on the V6 to fix the buzzing.
It's quite possible that there is no remote code that will operate the sound bar, |
