Mr. Mercedes, Loudermilk & Condor have all been cancelled.

Loudermilk & Condor had previously been renewed, but this has been reversed because Audience Network is shutting down.

I should imagine it depends on the Nielsen ratings.

I completely forgot about the shorts, I watched season 1 but not season 2. I'll defo watch them next week because I think one of them is a Picard tie in.

I forgot about that. You're right, the streamers don't use Neilsen ratings.

In other news.
The Orville season 3 is most likely the last as Seth MacFarlane has moved to NBCU.

Talking of NBC, they have renewed New Amsterdam for 3 more seasons.

Lol, brilliant. The only series i have ever heard them doing this with was sg1 so i think it is a sign of how awedom the series is going to be. They must have had some amazing feedback from previews.

Some of the second season of shorts have been outstanding, the tribble one. Others have not been good at all. The two animated ones.

The Picard one was also a total letdown. They never bothered to even use ships from that era. The only things they used were Discovery era ships and shuttles!!

Are you sure about that Paul? Season 2 was only officially announced yesterday.

It is going to be a costs thing. I got the impression with the season 1 shorts that they didn't cost anything and it was a case of "everyone is busy filming the next episode on the bridge atm so why don't we pop down to the mess hall for 1 hour and try and film 15 minutes of naff". If they were going to do the Picard one properly it would have cost a fortune because they would have had to hire additional help outside of the Discovery production team and made new models and all sorts of other stuff.

It hasn't officially been renewed for a third season but the producers have been told to go ahead and start working on it.

That explains it. Thanks General.

Star Trek: Picard Season 3 will be filmed back-to-back with the second season, per insiders, and is eyed for a “late 2021/early 22” premiere
