VM Throttling Usernet?

This is a bit of an odd one as I've only noticed it for the last few days.

If I d/load files from newshosting (usenet) My speeds will barely creep into Mb levels, If I d/load a torrent I get my usual up to 200Mbit levels.

I'm on Nord VPN so it's either them or VM, can anyone else who has a similar setup have a go and see if they are being throttled.

I'm on 200Mbit Cable from VM

I am most definitely not being throttled on usenet. You really should have more than one hoster

for a start I would have all 3 set up on my reader news-us.newshosting.com news-nl.newshosting.com news-de.newshosting.com

It's really quite odd, I've had no problem before, the list includes files d/loading ok then in the folder it's empty, or say 14 GB d/loaded and all completed but the folder is holding an assorted of winzip/par files that combined only add up to say 4 GB, or the aforementioned drop in d/load speed from hundreds of Mbits to tens of Kb.

Not seeing any loss of speed elsewhere, just that. Can't see why Nord would throttle usenet either, torrents and regular downloads work fine.

That really only leaves the Newshosting side of things as the issue.

I would say so. Have you tried the other backbones they offer like I suggested?

You could try a 50GB block off Newsdemon see only costs 76p. I use this as a fills server and set up to all their backbones. Worth 76p to test it out
