The Crossing

I had not heard of this one until it popped up as a new show on my calendar today;

Quote:

Refugees from a war-torn country start showing up to seek asylum in an American town. Only the country these people are from is America and the war they are fleeing is 250 years in the future. The local sheriff with a past, a federal agent and a mother in search of her missing refugee daughter drive this allegory with a surprising conspiracy at the center.
I may give this a try, see how it goes (starts on April 2nd 2018).

Yes, indeed, that definitely looks like its going to be worth giving a go.

It reminds me a bit of the 4400.

Ooops, I misread the month on the calendar, seems I was looking at April, not May. oops:

(It will be April 3rd in our timezone).

I'm upto Episode 4 now, looking good so far.

The end of Ep 4 was somewhat predictable though.

As soon as the wife went off I knew she was going to get a gun.
Before that, it was obvious that Hannah was going to get protected.

Unfortunately, this show isnt getting great ratings, its a toss up atm on it seeing a season 2.

4 eps in isn't a really good indicator. It has time to get better.

It did not survive, there will be no Season 2.

Re: The Crossing

Yeh, it's a bummer. I think it had places to go if given the chance.

Re: The Crossing

maybe we should go back in time and try and change the timeline and get it renewed

Re: The Crossing

Its demise is being speeded up.

After Episode 9 this Monday, the final two episodes (10, 11) are being burned off next Saturday, and thats it done.

Re: The Crossing

that's a shame, I hope they bring it to some sort of conclusion and don't leave it on a stupid end of season cliff hanger

Re: The Crossing

Just caught up and I am glad they sort of wrapped it up with a happy ending and at the same time left the story open and to be continued. It is a good series and I would have watched more. It would be interesting to find out if the sheriff/sheriff's dna is the starting point for Apex because of the dream we saw him have. To make it a realistic story line though I would want a proper reason why and would Reece & Co eventually determine that that is why his name is on the wall and pop him off in the past in order to protect the future?

Unfortunately, we will never know (unless the cancelled season 2 plans are revealed).
