I'm hoping it get's really good in season 2 as I found the end of season 1 dissapointing.
No doubt we'l be waiting a good while before it arrives here.

Prison break reminds me of lost really. They are different and good ideas but there is little you can do with them after a season. Lost should have ended after 2 seasons, its getting boring and season 2 was very poor in contrast with season 1.

Drama likes The West Wing and the X-Files lasted so long because you could get a lot of content there, it was more open. X-Files could have a long continuing story line but they did loads and loads of shows which did not connect to main plot. Lost is just one big long story line and not much happens.

I thought the 1st season was great. Best thing I watched last season, better IMO than the 2nd season of Lost & 5th season of 24.




Still a lot they can do with Prison Break. Hopefully season 2 will be as good as 1. I read somewhere that they've only planned on 2 seasons.

Lost - yep, getting boring. The whole story is being dragged out, & nothing gets answered, just more questions get posed.

West Wing I agree.

X Files... Used to be one of my favourite shows at first. The 1st few seasons were very good, but it peaked early & went down hill quickly. Problem was the overall story arc, the "conspiracy story". It sucked. They did way too many episodes on that, rather than the decent "monster of the week" type episodes like they'd done in the early days (Squeeze & Tombs are still two of the best XF eps I think). Unlike something like B5, XF appeared to be made up as it went along, I don't think Chris Carter ever had any kind of overall master plan. The whole conspiracy arc just got more & more stupid & convoluted, full of more & more plot holes & contradictions, & more & more of a mess. If he'd done like JMS did with B5, & had a story "bible" & a full arc plotted out, it could've been really good (I like conspiracy type stories, but XF just got stupid as it wasn't done very well). IMO.

Yeah, I agree with the X-Files actually. It did start getting far to complex to understand and so on. First few seasons were certainly better. Around the time scully had cancer it started getting worse.

The West Wing is very intresting.. Seasons 1 and 2 were good, seasons 4 and 4 were poor. Lacking direction and did not feel like their was drama their and the loss of rob lowe (Sam) and the writers changed. Season 5 was much better, so was 6. Season 7 is very good.

Hopefully Prison break will only be two seasons and lost will only be 3. Especially lost

Also watched prison break season 2 as it was aired in the US, uk sucks for that, always get things so late!

cant wait for the fall to be over, can finally find out what's happening!

lost resumes in feb 2, wish they didnt pull daybreak and jericho, but meh, oh well.

Not always, we have Stargate & Atlantis before the US (Stargate before anyone else in fact).

Jericho has not been pulled, it's just on a break, like most are atm. Daybreak was pulled - shame really as I liked it.

Slight aside - anybody see Blade (TV Series) on Bravo last night.

Started of quite bloodily, and then calmed down - didn't seem to bad.
