Motorola SB5101E USB drivers needed
 

hi all,

wondering if anyone here can help i need the is drivers for my Motorola SB5101E cable modem i have tried to install the sb5101 drivers from the motorola website but they dont work, any ideas? i have searched all over the net but no luck!

here is the link below to download the driver once you downloaded it
unzip the files into a folder and manually update your usb device driver
from that folder and its all done

thanks for the link but i already tried that driver and it didnt work i think the 5101 and the 5101E have different usb drivers

Here you go, cracked my CD open especially for you :)

When you install the USB part just point it to wherever you extracted this Zip to, it should do the rest itself.

This includes the whole driver section of the disc :)

EDIT: and this disc came with the 5101e model, the same as yours :)

spoke too soon it still dont work all the lights flash and it says its online but my pc still does not connect onto the net

You have powered down the cable modem, then switched it back on havn't you ?

yes ive tried it all im now going to take it to my friends house to try on a PC as im currently connecting it to my laptop, it wierd as all the lights flash ie PC activity, online etc but the laptop refuses to use it to go on the net!

very annoying

if anyone one has any suggestions feel free to add them, now im desprate!!!!!

Use the ethernet port instead ?

It's much more efficient at carrying the data in the first place.

Ok, this sounds like you simply have a problem with the settings in your browser, specially if you've tried both.

I NEED THE INSTALLATION DISK FOR SB5101 BECAUSE I LOST THE ORIGINAL DISK

A few things. First, the drivers are apparently contained in the link in post 2.

Second, please don't use all capitals. It is considered "shouting".
