Opening OE links with Firefox?
I have a feeling the solution is an easy one - but when I set Firefox as my default browser, links in Outlook Express won't work.
Help? :dunce: :) edit: but the links work with Microsoft Outlook....so it's a setting in OE? |

Re: Opening OE links with Firefox?
On a serious note, I can't even check what the settings might be 'cos I'm running Office 12 beta which looks totally different to the normal Office.

Outlook Express isn't part of Office.....:spin:

Re: Opening OE links with Firefox?
Check in outlook express or Internet Explorer...Can't remember the place, but somewhere in Internet options where you select the programs that handle links, web browsing, etc.
Sometimes when you install another browser it gets confused. That's what happened to me ages ago and this sorted it out for me. |
Re: Opening OE links with Firefox?
Hmm, on my home system FF is the default browser but both OE and TBird use IE for opening links!

See if this works Russ http://www.insideoutlookexpress.com/...htm#hyperlinks
Obviously you edit the file type so it points to Fire fox instead of IE, the microsoft link is worth a visit too. :) |
