Terrorism in London?
|
Re: Terrorism in London?
If the video currently spreading is genuine then it's certainly an act of terrorism, low key but it was committed whilst shouting the words 'This is for Syria'
Came across it on Facebook before I'd even seen the news or this thread and realized what I'd actually watched just now. |
Re: Terrorism in London?
I drove past Leyton stone station about ten, nothing to see apart from police cars by then though

Re: Terrorism in London?
So our bombing Iraq was fine, but Syria just a bridge too far?

Any news on the victims? I hope they are alright ..

Re: Terrorism in London?
I'd say over the coming weeks "terrorism" is going to increase tenfold.
it's all going to be retaliation. revenge, and a lot of doing what one feels needs to be done in the name of their religion. and a lot of it is going to be on normal streets and cities. Xmas is coming. there's always something big at Xmas. |

Re: Terrorism in London?
And if we'd been in the US or large parts of Europe our budding jihadist would probably have armed himself with an automatic weapon and done a whole lot more damage than this guy did.
Is he just a nutter who's suddenly decided to associate himself with a cause he may know little/nothing about, is he someone who's been affected by the sort of propaganda the extremists deliberately propagate or is he just someone who's acted in a fit of rage and lashed out because he's angry at what's happening? Time will tell but I think we're going to have to accept that what we used to consider the definition of terrorism is going to have to change along with the changing nature of the threat we face. |

Not at all. but I moticed that you agree by saying "this" A lot of these are going to be random opportunists and wannabe 'heros' you could say that now is the time to do something about your true beliefs in your religion to many of them |
Re: Terrorism in London?
Actually, you noticed wrong - I don't agree; there you go again, making invalid assumptions that back up your fevered imagination...
By "this", I meant the imaginary apocalyptic scenario you envisaged, not reality. |

Must be something in the water today! This guy is probably a mental case or simply a murderer. Did he go out with the intention to hurt someone or to incite terror? No one can agree on what the term terrorism means anymore as it has been used and abused by governments to bring in unjust laws and to invade the privacy of it's citizens. |
Re: Terrorism in London?
It is rather perverse Muslims trying to claim retaliation when a major aim of the attacks on IS in Syria etc is to prevent attacks on and protect MUSLIMS.
|
Re: Terrorism in London?
Wrong type of muslim perhaps? They've been fighting and murdering each other for a long time, and I doubt that will change.
