Did I get upgraded..?
(Doesn't seem to be a topic prefix for 152mb so left it blank)
Long story short - rang to downgrade services due to increase. Thought price is still fair but don't use TV or landline etc - usual story. Instead, was given significant discount and upgraded from 152mb to 200mb "instantly". Now however, my previously rock solid 170mb speed is about 70mb. Called to report problem and am told there's a ticket pending and all will be well when I get upgraded, but there's an issue with my levels that needs to go to the technical team anyway who'll probably sort both? Can any of the experts here advise how things look? Thanks. https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/local/2015/11/8.jpg |

Your power levels look OK.

Re: Did I get upgraded..?
I had a rock solid 50 24/7 until I upgraded to 200 and was getting under 30. - since then no matter what speed I move to - i still get flaky service. I am on 70 now - this is the best time of the day for me to test because from 12 it will go down to nearly nothing until about 2am and then it will start to pick up. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4842274154
That's my best effort as they say - 30 days notice is in, will replace with another BT line. I'd prefer to get this 24/7 on the other line as well. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4842277116 |

That symbol rate - does that suggest 200mb? It's ages since I've delved into any of this stuff. |
Re: Did I get upgraded..?
Quickest way is to go into http://192.168.0.1/cgi-bin/VmRouterS...perationCfgCgi and if your downstream rate is 220000000 bits then you have 200. It's set at 220 I think but you actually can get a max of 209 throughput due to the overheads.
I am pretty sure that symbol rate is 20Mbps but I might, and probably am wrong. I was just working on 2048 being 2MB etc. |
Re: Did I get upgraded..?
Agh - the link you give isn't opening. I can't find the info in my SH1 config pages you mention - sorry.

Re: Did I get upgraded..?
192.168.0.1 in normal more
192.168.100.1 in modem mode Should be a router status in the top right of the login screen? And from there choose Operation Configuration ? Not sure if/why the SH1 would be different to the SH2 it's the same software? |

Also, go to that Router Status Page and just click "operational config" rather than using the link. |
Re: Did I get upgraded..?
I don't see that mate - sorry.
Screenie: http://i.imgur.com/5AuGfEV.jpg And I can't see where to go (other than what I posted above) in the advanced settings for the op config ---------- Post added at 11:40 ---------- Previous post was at 11:39 ---------- I don't see a setting for op config anywhere. |
Re: Did I get upgraded..?
you dont sign in. it's top right of http://192.168.0.1 You have gone a step too far.
And like Gobble said - you would need a SH2 in order to get it so you had best get one sent out. |
Re: Did I get upgraded..?
Goodness - sorry!
OK - screenie: http://i.imgur.com/Tv7cjkG.jpg Suppose I'd better ring for a SH2 then.. |
Re: Did I get upgraded..?
You are still on the 152 service.

Re: Did I get upgraded..?

Re: Did I get upgraded..?
Cheers - I'm going back to the dept I spoke to yesterday rather than overseas.

She said there's a ticket pending and if/when they try and send the new file to my old hub, I'm probably going to have no connection all until the new hub arrives and it's able to accept the new config file. :erm: That's not good. She couldn't help me with the current speed issue I have gained since yesterday however.. I'm going to put that down to the inclement weather and hope things get ironed out with the new hub. |
