NOTE: I DO NOT WORK FOR VIRGIN MEDIA IRELAND SO ALL THE INFORMATION ON THIS LIST IS STILL SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Sky Movies to launch Harry Potter Channel.

Digital Spy is reporting that from Saturday 24 October until Monday 2 November, Sky Movies Greats will be renamed Sky Movies Harry Potter.

Sky Movies Greats can be found on Virgin Ireland Channel 307 also in HD on Virgin Ireland Channel 337.

So they aren't launching a new channel but merely rebranding Sky Movies Greats like they do every other month. Can't wait! wonder what franchise or theme they will choose next!

Can't say I'm a lover of these pop up channels however feedback must suggest the majority are in favour as they ask this question nearly every month in surveys.

DS Forum: MTV "XMas" to appear next month on Virgin Media Ireland.

Info from DigiGuide shows that MTV Classic becomes MTV Xmas on Friday 13th November.

MTV Classic broadcast on Virgin Ireland Channel 707.

Info found by DS Forum poster "omnidirectional".

Irish Times: Sky Sports to broadcast live 3pm Premier League games in Ireland.

Irish Times: TV3 blasts RTÉ aside to take Six Nations from 2018.

The Six Nations Council has awarded the broadcast rights for the Six Nations Championship to TV3, starting with the 2018 tournament for a period of four years in a deal that is reputed to be worth in excess of €22 million. It represents a significant coup for the station.

Christmas comes to Gold on December 1st.

Media Boy HQ have seen information Gold will start broadcasting Christmas Specials from December 1st.

Gold can be found on the following Virgin Media Ireland Channels numbers:

Gold - Virgin Ireland Channel 120.
Gold +1 - Virgin Ireland Channel 153.

Sky Movies Star Wars to reappear from December 11th.

Sky Movies SciFi and Horror will be rebrand as Sky Movies Star Wars on December 11th on Virgin Ireland Channel 304 and also in HD on Virgin Ireland Channel 334.
